A real Gem of old-fashioned Italian pastry making. Well worth the stop, with about a dozen flavors of pasticcioti, and other delicious Italian treats.

No menu online? Happened upon this place after eating at Hummus and Tabbouleh a couple doors down. I found this quaint bakery carrying a limited selection. I'm guessing by the age of the patisserie, 1928 they would accommodate made to order. Ordering the smallest lobster tail deserts I've ever seen with a moderate price, they packed a delicious punch. Would return, I believe they were cash only.

The pastry was flavorless; I drove 60 miles thinking and hope if it would remind me of Brooklyn but it was disappointing especially the cannoli

Went to Florentine at 2:55 today to grab chocolate hazelnut kisses as a gift for a family member. When I went in and asked for the hazelnut kisses they told me they close at 3:00 and would NOT serve me. I saw the kisses in the fridge behind the counter, so I know they had them in stock. I’ve been in customer service most of my life and have never turned a customer away, especially when they came in for one specific item. I will be sharing this experience with friends and family and hope this does not happen to anyone else.

The pastries here are wonderful! The counter ladies were not very professional. There was a young lady helping customers while chawing on her gum and wearing bedroom slippers on her feet. Playing with her long down hair and touching pastries.

Pusties...one of the most amazing baked goods ever invented. As much as I like chocolate and other flavors, the vanilla really is the way to go. Grab a cappuccino and some goodies and learn some Italian in the room that adjoins the one from which you order. Really old school and delicious, how could it go out of style? It cant and it won't.

We found this place years ago but had a hard time finding it again. We forgot what the name was so just looking for it we were fooled into stopping at another Italian pastry shop. Knowing instantly that it wasn't the "one" we went up the street and on the same side there it was... Best pastries ever. You will not be sorry!

This is one of the two oldest classic Italian bakeries in East Utica. Exceptional pastries such as canoles, pasticciotti, sfogliatelli, napoleon's, run cakes, etc.The original store is still on Bleeker Street and it has not really been updated so it is like stepping back in time. But this is absolutely okay.There is a second room that is a cafe where you can sit and talk while drinking cappuccino and eating a pastry.

counter help was inattentive and slow and the pastries were horrible. they put the cookies in a plastic bag first and then in a box. still in the bag! tasted old, stale some were overdone and just not good at all. we took a detour to stop here on our way to a party out of town. I didn't want to go empty handed and haven't been here in years. I was embarrassed to bring them and no one really ate them after one try. we had to throw them out. and very expensive. I was extremely disappointed.

The Florentine Bakery made our wedding cake 42 years ago, an Italian rum cake. It was both beautiful and delicious. Wish I could share a photo here so you could see it.
